Day 1 : Athens/Delphi
Your 3 day journey through Greece begins with a departure from Athens at 08:45am we a drive through the scenic road of Levadia, Thebes and the small pretty village of Arachova – which is mainly used by people who want to ski in the nearby Pernassos mountain. When we arrive into Delphi we will be visiting the magnificent Ancient Sanctuary of Apollo, Treasury of the Athenians and of course the fascinating Delphi museum (located right next to the ruins). The Museum hosts absolutely some amazing finds that include the bronze Charioteer – One of the only five complete bronze statues from Hellenistic period. The museum certainly gives you a real feel for what the Delphi site really looked liked back in the time it was constructed. You will be given the afternoon free so you can either put your feet up at your hotel or you can head out and see what else the village of Delphi has to offer you. (dinner and overnight included in Delphi).
Day 2 : Delphi/Kalambaka (Meteora)
Your morning will also be free so you can either have them extra minutes in bed or you can use this final chance to get them last beautiful pictures by strolling the main streets of Delphi. There will also be time for you to find a delicious resturant where you can sample some real authentic greek food and refreshments for example the aniseed drink ‘Ouzo’ and afterwards why not roam around for a bit of gift shopping for your family and friends back home. You will be given a meet up time for us to then make our departure to Kalambaka we will take the route that passes through the small but beautiful villages of Central Greece. A hotel will be arranged for you in Kalambaka where you shall have dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3 : Kalambaka (Meteora)/Athens
For your final journey through Greece we will take a visit to the unique village of Meteora it is located just near Kalambaka. Meteora is most famously known for its very unique sculptures which are the monasteries that sit on top of the rock towers, even the huge rocks have unusual shapes to them that was caused through nature. When your at the top you will be able to sit and watch the spectacular view as the sunsets, definately a camera moment that you will never forget. After we will take you to return back to Athens via Trikala, Lamia and Thermopylaeon our return route we will take a short stop for have a look at – Leonidas Monument who was a spartan warrior and died an heroic death during the battle of Thermopylae.
*For visiting the Monastery,ladies need to wear a long skirt and gentlements long trousers.
