Day 1 – Antalya Arrivals

Today is the start of your journey through Antalya – Alanya & Ephesus, So as you make your arrival into Antalya airport there shall be a transfer service waiting to take you along to your hotel in Antalya. Tonight at the hotel you will have the chance to enjoy a delicious welcome dinner, the fun filled atmosphere of Antalya at night.Dinner Included

Day 2 – Antalya

You will be picked up from your hotel to take a visit to Perge antique site in detail by having a wander around The Stadium, Roman Gate, Nymphaeum, Roman Bath, Hellenistic gate, Colonnaded Main Street and Agora. We will then have our lunch on the Köprüpazari stream which is just near the Aspendos Theater, after lunch we will continue on with our tour by visiting Aspendos Theater and the Historical Aqueducts. There will be a shopping break through the day so you can purchase some of the amazing Turkish handcrafts for take back home. After Perge you will then be given an introduction about the town of Side and also some free time for your own lesiure to do some shopping or grab a traditional turkish ice cream and sit beside the seaside. Afterwards we will head for Manavgat to take a sail down the manavgat River with its turquoise deep enriched mineral waters, that is so cold its perfect for an instand cool down from the turkish heat. Whilst you are here in Manavgat you will also have the chance to be shown the Manavgat Waterfalls (which actually flows into the river) which is the widest waterfall on record its also located in a very quiet area and the surrounding scenery is picture perfect, the boat will then continue downstream towards the open sea, and if the day is in your favour you may be luckily enough to see the turtles or even the pelicans. We shall make a little swim stop so you can take a dip into its clear refreshing waters. You day sailing down Manavgat River will definately be one an unforgettable one as its of pure beauty. Afterwards we will head back on the road and head towards Antalya for where you will have an overnight stay. (Breakfast and Lunch Included)

Day 3 – Alanya

Please check out from hotel after breakfast and take bring your suitcases with you. Today you will be picked up from your hotel to take a visit around Alanya, It is known that Mark Anthony gave Alanya to Cleaopatra as a “wedding gift”. This Mediterranean city is crowned by the Castle of Alanya and its here that we will begin our exploration of Alanya. The castle is a fantastic landmark and main focal point of the city as it can be seen from every point you go to around Alanya, the walls of the castle date right back to the 13th century and were built on top of Byzantine fortifications. Inside the castle we will be able to see a Byzantine Monastery, Mosque, Caravanserai and Numerous Cisterns. The castle is magnificent with high walls, 140 towers, 400 cistern and majestic doors. Just below the Castle is where you can also find the Red Tower as it is situated on the harbour frontline. Kale Kapisi is one of best example of Seljuk building. According to the inscription date of construction is 1.231. Alanya Old City (Tophane) has massive stone walls, meandering streets, and old houses built so close together that they often over shadow the narrow lanes that are made from cobbles. Now you have taken in the sights of Alanya your tour guide will give you approx one hour free time to have a wander at your own lesiure for grab some refreshments and sit beside the sea whilst filling up your camera with Alanya beautiful scenery.

After lunch, we will go to visit Alanya Archaeological Museum. Within the musem you will come across artifacts from Anatolian Civilizations, as well as the archaeological monuments from across the region. There museum is spilt up into different sections that consist of archeology and ethnography, and a completely different section for the exhibition of Heracles. After you have seen around the museum we will move on to see other special sites such as the Seljuk Dockyard – The construction was started in 1.227 and  was completed within just 12 months, Damlatas Cave – Alanya is full of stalactites and stalagmites due to the humidity being 90% on the interior, the caves are used for the treatment of respiratory ailments, Cleopatra Beach – The name came from the last queen of ancient Egypt ‘Cleopatra’ as in accordance to legends Cleopatra would swim every day in at this beautiful sandy spot. Cleopatra’s beach has very fine soft sand and the water is as clear as a crystal. To put a perfect end to a busy day then why not head up to one of the numerous little cafes that line the mountain side (on way to castle) and watch the burning sun set over Cleopatras Beach, it truly is a spectacular sight to see! Our tour of Alanya will come to an end around 17:00 pm to which we will go on to have dinner in a very deliciou resturant, and after we will we will travel thorugh the night to our next destination of ‘Kusadasi’ for see The Ancient City Of Ephesus tomorrow. (departure time from alanya will be between 19:00 & 20:00, duration about 10 hours). Breakfast Included

Day 4 – Antalya to Kusadasi/Ephesus

Once we arrive in Kusadasi you will be taken directly to your hotel for the chance to freshen up and have some breakfast before our tour starts for the day. Today you will do full day Ephesus sightseeing which will begin in the morning at 09:00 am. We will come to pick you up from your hotel in Kusadasi and hit the road for a short drive to Ephesus (You have the choice to do this tour by group or as your own private tour). Firstly we will take you to see the The House of Virgin Mary which is situated on the top of Bulbul Mountain, the house was discovered back in the 19 th century. Catherina Emmerich (1775-1824), an invalid German nun who had never visited Ephesus went on to describe in great detail the house and its location which she had been known to have seen in a vision. It is also believed that St.John brought Mary (the mother of Jesus) to Ephesus sometime between AD 37-48 and its the place she spent her last years of her life. After seeing The House Of Virgin Mary we will continue on tour to the Ancient City of Ephesus where you will see one of the most spectacular excavations to ever exist in the world, you will have the chance see also the Odeon, The Fountain of Trajan, the stream baths of Scholastika, the Temple of Hadrian, the Grand Theater and last but no means the least the very impressive library of Ephesus. The Ephesus library is adorned with columns and statues and is still in relatively excellent condition, by standing in the middle of the Library or taking a walk down the main street in Ephesus you will feel like you have stepped back in time amongst the romans and the visuals here are fantastic to see. Also within Ephesus is The Grand Theater where Saint Paul preached its believed to be the largest outdoor theater in the ancient world with a capacity of 25,000 seats. The last and perhaps the most important, site in Selcuk is the great Temple of Artemis (Diana) , which is one of the Seventh Wonders of the Ancient World. The Ephesus Artemis was a goddess of fertility and was often pictured draped with eggs or multiple breasts as symbols of fertility. Our tour today will come to an end after visiting the Mosque of Isa Bey, which was built in the 19th century, it was also used as a caravanserai, it definately is a perfect architectural building that you must-see. During todays tour you will have one hour free break time to rest, and of course if you like you can take some refreshments from the cafeteria on site. (lunch included). At the end of the day you will the be transferred to your hotel for spend the evening over in Kusadasi. (Dinner at the hotel – Lunch & Dinner Included).

Day 5 – Kusadasi

Please check out from hotel after breakfast and take bring your suitcases with you. Today is a free day so you can uncover more of Kusadasi. There is plenty of things to see and do close by to Kusadasi and below we have listed a few top ideas – Pigeon Island – An island connected to the mainland where you can capture breath taking view of the coastline. Sirince Village – Pretty old orthodox village, narrow streets of the village belong to the women, selling handcrafts of all kinds. National Park –  ideal place to escape from town fuss and noise, see widlife in its natural glory. Or enojy a bbq on one of the many beach bays. Or just stroll around the town of Kusadasi for some shopping at the bazaar, relax on one of local beaches or enjoy some authentic Turkish cusine. Day 6 – Antalya

So today is the final day of your time travelling adventure through Turkey and as we arrive into Antalya you will then be transferred over to the airport in accordance to your flight details, and that sadly brings our time together to an end. We trust that your time with us discovering and exploring some of Turkeys hidden treasures has been everything that you wanted and more, most of all we would also like to wish you a pleasant journey home and shall look forward to seeing you again on one of our many other time travelling packages.
