Departure from Istanbul in the morning, transfer across the Sea of Marmara by ferry.At the foot Mount of Uludag (Misios Olympos) that had once been called the Mysian Olympus is located an amazingly green town of Bursa. Mount of Uludag was previously known as Olympus Misios in ancient times, and is known in mythology as the place where the gods watched the Trojan war.The most important peak in the province is Uludag, which is a ski resort and national park. Bursa is The First Capital of Ottoman Empire. Osman Bey, who was born in a town of Bursa, conquered the towns around Bursa in 1299 and this is the year regarded as the founding of the Ottoman Empire, which was to survive for over six hundred years. (The word Ottoman is derived from his name, Osman) Bursa is located in the northwest of the Anatolian peninsula and southeast of the Marmara Sea. The shores of the Marmara Sea are 135 km away. First we will go Tophane; Bursa is the most well-monitored park panoramic image.The entrance to the park with the state’s first sultan of the Ottoman Empire Osman Bey and Orhan Bey.Then we will see Clock Tower, tower built in 1906 in the park is located in the 6-storey Ontario. Before lunch our last stop will be Ulumay Museum of Ottoman Folk Costumes and Jewellery; The Ulumay Museum of Ottoman Folk Costumes and Jeweler is home to a much prized collection, which is housed within the beautiful 15th-century building. Between the tour, you have taken one hour free time to relax, you can take some refreshments or lunch in the cafeteria. You can try famaous delicious Iskender Kebab…And definitely you have to try famous Chestnut Candy, delicious…..After lunch, you will see Ulu Mosque (Great Mosque) : It was constructed between 1396 and 1400 by Sultan Bayezit, fully made up of cut stone, with very thick and high walls, 12 heavy four edged grade, with pendantives as of 20 domes. It is the most classical and monumental sample of the multi – domed mosques. It has the biggest size (318 square meters) among all of the Turkish mosques with its rich and roomy space. all being the grand noteworthy constructions in Bursa. And then you will go The Museum of Turkish and İslamic Arts: This historical museum is an important Islamic site for its rich artifact collection. The exhibits include displays on items which are varied and fabrics, textiles, costumes, glass, porcelain are pottery to name just a few.The collection of the Museum of Turkish and Islamic Art, Bursa includes Selçuk ceramics, inlaid wood pieces, objects in iron, copper, bronze and wood, pearl and ivory articles, intarsia work, manuscripts, decorated book covers, screens, sections of decorated wooden ceilings, weapons, tiles from Iznik and Kütahya, embroidery, ornaments, superbly wrought articles from tekkes or dervish convents, calligraphy and tombstones. There is also a unique collection of turbans in various forms on display..The early Ottoman architecture monuments is, Green Mosque and Green Mausoleum : Constructed between 1419 and 1420, It is called Green Mosque due to the green turquoise tiles used on adornments. It is one of the most important Ottoman period structure in Bursa, and the mosque is famous with its adornments much more than its architecture. So called for abundance of green and turquoise in the finish. Structure, which is the symbol of Bursa, is one of the most beautiful samples of Ottoman tomb architecture. Octagonal structure, to which you can climb via a marble stair, is covered by a lead dome perched on a high hoop. It is a unique structure with its tile adornments. Its fully tile covered balcony is a master piece of art. One of the most beautiful samples of the Ottoman wooden work, the door was built by transition technique of walnut tree, adorned with geometrical motifs and has inscription on it…Next to the historic identity, Bursa is also a very modern city. . With in many large modern shopping malls, cinemas and cultural activities. Especially you can buy towel from Bursa. End of the tour we will back to Istanbul by ferry. You will transfer your starting points.
