Delos located in the circle of the Cyclades islands. After 25 minutes ferry ride from Mykonos, we will reach to Delos island. The ancient holy island of Delos, an UNESCO World Heritage Sites and it’s a magnificent outdoor museum in the heart of Aegean Sea. It was the religious center of Greece to many centuries as well as a major trade stop during the Roman times. According to the mythology Leto (mother of Apollo and his sister Artemis), gave birth in Delos while clinging to a palm tree (a symbol of now-nearly-treeless Delos). Apollo’s altar, and carvings depicting bulls used as sacrifices, are still on the site. Beautiful finds of Delos such as mosaics, statues, marbles are displayed in Delos museum. During this tour, you are also able to see temples, shrines and other amazing structures that have survived and stand as evidence of the greatness of the Ancient Greek civilization.
