You will be picked up from your central hotel in Istanbul for the Bursa city tour, a journey that spans approximately 14 hours. Your Bursa guide or one of our staff members will meet you at the lobby of your hotel, and after the tour, we will drive you back to your hotel in Istanbul.
Departing from Istanbul in the morning, the journey includes a transfer across the Sea of Marmara by ferry or via the Osman Gazi bridge. At the foot of Mount Uludag (Misios Olympos), once known as Mysian Olympus, lies the remarkably green town of Bursa. In ancient times, Mount Uludag was called Olympus Misios and is steeped in mythology as the place where the gods observed the Trojan War. The region is home to the Uludag ski resort and national park. Bursa, known as the First Capital of the Ottoman Empire, played a pivotal role in Ottoman history. Osman Bey, the founder of the Ottoman Empire, was born in Bursa and began the conquest of surrounding towns in 1299. Bursa is situated in the northwest of the Anatolian peninsula, southeast of the Marmara Sea, with its shores located 135 km away.
The tour includes visits to significant historical sites such as the Ulu Mosque (Great Mosque), constructed between 1396 and 1400 by Sultan Bayezit. Known for its cut stone construction, thick walls, and 20 domes, the mosque is a classical and monumental example of a multi-domed mosque. The tour continues to early Ottoman architecture monuments, including the Green Mosque and Green Mausoleum, both constructed in the early 15th century. The Green Mosque, named for its green turquoise tiles, is famous for its adornments, while the Green Mausoleum is a symbol of Bursa with its unique structure, tile adornments, and wooden work. Other places of interest, such as Koza Han (Silk Bazaar) and the Silk Market (The Covered Bazaar), showcase the modern side of Bursa with large shopping malls and cultural activities. The tour concludes with a return to Istanbul by ferry, followed by a transfer back to your starting point.

If the cable car is not working due to bad weather conditions or out of order then we drive to Uludag mountain by tour vehicle.
