Depart at about 08:45 am from our terminal for one day trip from Athens to Delphi to explore one of the most famous archaeological sites of Greece. Along the way, you will see the plain of Beotia, an agricultural center and you will also pass by the city of Theva, the birthplace of King Oedipus.
Driving to Arachova and Delphi is about 3 Hours
Departure from Athens early in the morning to Delphi which is one of the treasures of Greece drive passing through Levadia, Thebes, and Arachova - which is famous for its bright multi-colored carpets and handicrafts and is just 15 minutes drive away from Ancient Delphi, Arachova is a small village located nearby Parnassos mountain and mainly used by people who want to ski. We will make a short stop on the way to one of the villages.
Delphi Archaeological Site and Delphi Archaeological Museum will take about 3 Hours
We will pass by Castalia Spring arrive in Delphi and visit the Treasury of the Athenians, Temple of Apollo, and Museum of Delphi with its spectacular finds including the bronze Charioteer (one of the only five complete bronze statues from the Hellenistic period), the Naxian Sphinx and the Statue of Antinoos. Among the most interesting treasures are fragments of gold and blackened ivory from statues of Artemis (lunch in Delphi).
Drive back to Athens through the cotton fields of Boeotia.
