You shall be picked up from Bodrum airport, Bodrum hotel, Bodrum Marina, or even from the cruise ship port in Bodrum. Your Bodrum tour guide will hold up a sign with your name on it so you can easily find your correct tour bus. This tour will take approximately 7-8 hours and afterward, we will drive you back to your Bodrum hotel, Bodrum Marina, Bodrum airport, or cruise ship harbor in Bodrum in Turkey.
Today's tour will start with a transfer coming to pick you up early in the morning as today is going to be a busy discovery day. Once you have picked up you will then be taken to Baffa lake for some cold refreshments, and on your way to Didim where you will be able to visit The Temple of Apollo, Ancient Didyma was the site of the sacred sanctuary to Apollo and oracle that brought in most of the city’s fame and wealth. The sanctuary at Didyma is ranked as the third largest sacred structure in the ancient Hellenic world, you will see the columns and used more than 100 magnificent columns, traces of a secret fountain, and a Medusa Head. When you leave here we will then drive on to Miletus, Miletus once sat upon a thin strip of land surrounded by four separate harbors, it was envied for its prosperity and its strategic coastal location. Miletus suffered the same fate as its Ionian confederates the silting of its harbor and waters by neighboring rivers caused its decline for centuries Miletus was a hotbed of commercial and cultural development. In the 5th century BCE the Milesian alphabet was adopted as a standard Greek script, Miletus later became the headquarters of the Ionian Scholl of philosophers which included Thales, Aneximanes, and Anximander. The main attraction in Miletus is the theater which is clearly visible from the highway, Kervansaray, Faustina Bath, and Ilyas Bey Mosque. After we will head on to Priene, where you will be served a delicious lunch, it is after lunch you will go to see the Priene Ancient Site, Priene grew to prominence as a member of the Ionian Confederation of cities in the region of Smyrna (modern Izmir). Priene devoted its resources to religion and sports, this site was built on a plateau before the walls of Mt.Mycale and has an overlook on the contortions of the river Meander. So keep an eye out for the unmistakable system of geometric design introduced by Hippodamos of Miletus in the 4th century BC. You will see the Temple of Athena, the Temple of Olympic Seus, Prytaneum, Bouleterion, the Theater, the Stadium, the Gymnasium and so much more. You will need your camera for all these amazing sites. On your return, you will have the chance to see the lovely valley and hills surrounding the town of Soke and along the highway where they grow cotton. You will then return with your Bodrum guide to your pick-up points.
