Our next visit will be to Pasabag (Monk’s Valley) where you will be able to take a look at the mushroom shaped fairy chimneys, these chimneys are very interesting structures and were formed due to the harder rock material been deposited above. The valley gets the nickname Monks valley because of the ascetic monks who came here as early as the 5th century and lived hermit lifestyles here. It was a so called ‘stylite’ way of living, from the greek work stylos, meaning pillar – the christian monks built dwellings inside the pillars and its where they lived, fasted and prayed. After discovering Pasabag we will then head over to the town of Avanos, Avanos is set on the banks of Kizilirmak which is translated to ‘The Red River’. We will first start with the old village of Avanos that winds up the hills leading away from the town it truely is a beautiful magical maze of old stone houses, some that have been  restored over time and some that have been converted to other purposes. In some of the abandoned houses the features oftraditional Ottoman architecture can still be seen along with ancient decorations, motifs and murals. You will also get the chance to participate in a hands-on pottery work shop. We will then take a lunch break ( thats included) for recharge our batteries. Catherina Emmerich (1775-1824), an invalid German nun who had never visited Ephesus went on to describe in great detail the house and its location which she had been known to have seen in a vision. It is also believed that St.John brought Mary (the mother of Jesus) to Ephesus sometime between AD 37-48 and its the place she spent her last years of her life. After seeing The House Of Virgin Mary we will continue on tour to the Ancient City of Ephesus where you will see one of the most spectacular excavations to ever exist in the world, you will have the chance see also the Odeon, The Fountain of Trajan, the stream baths of Scholastika, the Temple of Hadrian, the Grand Theater and last but no means the least the very impressive library of Ephesus. The Ephesus library is adorned with columns and statues and is still in relatively excellent condition, by standing in the middle of the Library or taking a walk down the main street in Ephesus you will feel like you have stepped back in time amongst the romans and the visuals here are fantastic to see. Also within Ephesus is The Grand Theater where Saint Paul preached its believed to be the largest outdoor theater in the ancient world with a capacity of 25,000 seats. The last and perhaps the most important, site in Selcuk is the great Temple of Artemis (Diana) , which is one of the Seventh Wonders of the Ancient World. The Ephesus Artemis was a goddess of fertility and was often pictured draped with eggs or multiple breasts as symbols of fertility. Our tour today will come to an end after visiting the Mosque of Isa Bey, which was built in the 19th century, it was also used as a caravanserai, it definately is a perfect architectural building that you must-see. Mrs Emma Burrows 2019-01-07

Firstly wanted to say that overall our whole Istanbul - Cappadocia - Ephesus & Pamukkale package tour was excellent from the very start i would even say even from the very first point of contacting with www.greeceturkeytours.com and speaking to mehmet. On our first day we arrived into the city great city of Istanbul and our arranged driver was awaiting us ready to take us to our first hotel stay, the hotel wasnt far from the airport and was also in a great central location which was perfect for us. Second day of our Istanbul Cappadocia Ephesus & Pamukkale package tour we got to meet our tour guide Yeliz and she told us that she would be guiding all of our tours throughout our trip which was very comforting to know as she also gave us her personal number to reach shall we need anything at all, our first tour of Istanbul we got to see many great highlights of the city with my favourite been the Blu Mosque due to its astounding decor. Third day we caught an internal flight over to Cappadocia and while here we got to see all of its beautiful natural made fairy chimneys and valleys, best part of this tour has to be the kaymakli underground city oh and of course the additional tour we booked which was the hot air balloon tour - it is MUST ! On our fourth day we flew from Cappadocia to Izmir and onto the resort of Kusadasi where we had the evening free to own lesiure so we went out and about to explore what we could find and we fell in love with Pigeon Island here with its mini castle which inside holds the remains of a whale that was recovered in 1997. Day 5 we got to explore all of Pamukkale with its heavenly Cleopatras pool - so relaxing to sit amongst bubbling natura thermal waters! Day 6 was a day to remember for sure as we was discovering the Ancient city of Ephesus, and you always hear stories about how amazing it is but i have to say it is ten times better than peoples stories - the whole place is incredible and to think that they are still doing excavation work is mind blowing! Day 7 was our last day of Istanbul Cappadocia Ephesus & Pamukkale package tour so this day is where we sat back and thought about the whole 7 days, and we were thoroughly impressed by the whole package, hotels were excellent, tours were absolutely incredible and even more so by having the best tour guide i have ever met - great knowledge / friendly and very energtic to say the least. I would not hesitate to book another tour with mehmet from www.greeceturkeytours.com again thats for sure.

Mr Brian Nelson & Mrs Kath Nelson 2019-02-11

My family and me did the 7 day Istanbul Cappadocia Ephesus & Pamukkale package tour during the summer holidays that we had arranged and booked through www.greeceturkeytours.com. We all had a fantastic time and all of that was made possible by Mehmet who sorted out our whole trip from start to end, Mehmet was available to reach all the time if we had any questions or concerns during our stay on the Istanbul Cappadocia Ephesus & Pamukkale package tour which was ver handy to know. All aspects of the package tour were handled excellently and everything flowed perfectly for the whole duration of our trip. Our tour guides Fezo & Burak were hands down fantastic and very knowledgable, and could answer any questions that were thrown at them - definitely wouldnt be the same without these 2! The sites on our Istanbul Cappadocia Ephesus & Pamukkale package tour were all amazing to explore, food was perfect and as for the people they couldnt of been more hospitable. Go see Turkey and when you do be sure you book with www.greeceturkeytours.com and you will have the best time ever just like we did.

I chose www.greeceturkeytours.com following the amount of positive reviews i had heard and seen about their package tours and also daily tours they offer. After talking with mehmet i decided to book a place on their Istanbul Cappadocia Ephesus & Pamukkale packge tour.
