In our Izmir Seightseeing Tour we will take a short walk from Izmir port, with our first stop been at Kordonboyu, with its transfromed coastline Izmir’s famous Kordon has been the theme of many poems and lyrics. Kordon is known to be full of life and culture and having a very significant an prominent role in Izmir, and its easy to say that Kordonboyu is the place to visit with its blue bay, green coast, sunset, and the ships hurridly coming to the bustling port and taking off again to disambark their passangers and welcome a new group. It is also magnificent place to walk all along the strip you will find various restaurants,bars and cafes. The sea breeze in the evening brings about an enjoyable gentle wind and enchanting sight, you can take the time to taste the city together with its residents. Where Kordon meets the city is republic Square, in the middle of the center you will find a splendor statue of the founder of Turkish republic ”Ataturk”, and is one of the popular places to shoot photos.
We will continoue to walk on Kordonboyu, as the Kordonboyu wraps the city of Izmir like a necklace with a brief walk down the Kordon, you will reach the Konak Square and in the center of Konak you will find the symbol of Izmir which is the famous Clock Tower. From the late Ottoman clock tower described by Goodwin as ’mauresque bibelot’ to the open air city bus terminal strollers enjoying the Imbat, and mingle with passengers waiting for a bus or ferry boat to Karsiyaka. A few meters a way is twisting lanes and narrow courts to the shops of Izmir’s Bazaar and its here we can find a bewildering range of goods from everything such as flowers to antiques on offer and all at bargain prices.
After lunch break we will get the ferry to Karsiyaka which approximatly takes about 40 minutes. Karsiyaka district is one of the finest sites In Izmir with a beautiful Bazaar, great malls and lots of shopping possibilities. Then we take a ferry to Alsancak and after you have taken in the sights of your Izmir Tour your Izmir tour guide will give you approx one hour free time to stroll at your leisure or relax have some refreshments in the Konak and Karsiyaka. When the tour has finished your Izmir Tour guide will return you to your pick up point.
