You will be met at your hotel in Pamukkale. Upon arrival at Pamukkale, we will start at the North Gate side, where you'll encounter the Necropolis (cemetery) of Hierapolis, boasting 1,200 graves, along with the Roman Bath, Domitian Gate, Main Street, and Byzantium Gate. (This part is optional and can be personally explored during free time). A leisurely walk will lead you to the natural warm water terraces, formed by the flow of warm water rich in calcium. The water maintains a temperature of approximately 35°C throughout the year, offering a spectacular view of the gleaming white travertine terraces of Pamukkale, situated close to the ruins of Hierapolis. This unique landscape results from the deposition of limestone as the hot spring water loses carbon dioxide while flowing down the slopes.
A lunch break served buffet-style, awaits, and post-lunch, you'll have the opportunity to enjoy swimming in the thermal pools. If you wish, there is an option to swim in the Ancient Pool, also known as Cleopatra's Pool, with a small extra charge. Warmed by hot springs and adorned with underwater fragments of ancient marble columns, possibly associated with the Temple of Apollo, this pool allows visitors to swim among antiquities. During the Roman period, columned porticoes surrounded the pool; today, they lie underwater, creating a unique experience.
As the tour concludes, we'll board the bus for a comfortable return to your designated drop-off points. We hope you've had an excellent tour with us and look forward to welcoming you again!
