You will be picked up from your central hotel in Istanbul, where your Istanbul Tour guide or one of our staff will meet you in the hotel lobby. This full-day Istanbul Tour will last approximately 6 hours, and afterward, we will either drive or walk back to your hotel in Istanbul.
During this comprehensive tour, you'll explore the main attractions of Istanbul, the former capital of the Ottoman Empire until 1923. The itinerary includes the awe-inspiring Hagia Sophia museum, a magnificent Byzantine church showcasing unique architectural wonders. You'll also visit the Blue Mosque, a 17th-century masterpiece famous for its blue tiles and distinctive six minarets. The tour continues to the Ancient Hippodrome, the square in front of the Blue Mosque, which once hosted chariot races. Here, you'll find the impressive granite obelisk, carved in Egypt around 1,500 BC and brought to Constantinople in 390 AD. The tour concludes with a short drive to the exotic Grand Bazaar, the oldest and largest market in the world, offering a unique collection of handmade carpets, jewelry, leather, and souvenirs.
Please note:
The Grand Bazaar is closed on Sundays and Eid Holidays (replaced with Handcraft Store).
The Blue Mosque is closed for Friday's prayer with no replacement.
If St. Sophia Museum is closed, it will be replaced with the Basilica Cistern.
An extra fee may apply for hotels beyond central locations, which will be communicated in advance.
In the case of a low number of attendees, the tour might be conducted through our partner agency (another local supplier).
